About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- A Maine Professional Engineer license is required.
- At least 15 years of conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production experience is required, along with familiarity with Maine Department of Transportation details and production.
- Prior management of a group or department is required.
- Manage design projects and coordinate among various project design disciplines.
- Manage all facets of office operations and facilities, review staffing levels, and monitor staff tools and resources.
- Maintain utilization of office personnel and balance project demands with opportunities for professional development.
- Supervise and mentor junior-level design staff.
- Perform project management duties.
- Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice, including potentially growing the office backlog, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and entering new markets.
- Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations with marketing support.
- Maintain client satisfaction and relationships.
- Participate in local professional affiliations and encourage team members to participate.
