- Oversee mold and die design, setup, qualification, maintenance, and storage.
- Plan the creation of a mold-making and repair facility.
- Facilitate equipment upgrades, modifications, and repairs.
- Create work instructions, conduct operator training, and implement quality control procedures.
- Coordinate technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and continual improvement activities.
- Implement in-process data acquisition, process capability assessments, and Statistical Process Control.
- Conduct product performance and acceptance testing.
- Manage external vendors as necessary.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and Total Quality Management is desirable.
- Formal project management skills are desirable.
