Requirements
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of experience.
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of electrical and HVAC engineers to create or update Architectural (A sheets), HVAC (M sheets), and/or Electrical (E sheets) for Issued for Approval, As-built, and Closeout Submittal drawing sets.
  • Serve as the project manager and primary representative for a team of engineers during meetings and calls for specific projects.
  • Attend and lead engineering meetings and calls with the client or Cummings Integrated Manufacturing Operations team, accurately communicate team progress and needs, and answer questions as necessary.
  • Create standards for Integrated Manufacturing HVAC designs and HVAC controls for modular e-houses.
  • Conduct the final review of Issued for Approval, As-built, and Closeout Submittal drawings, ensuring plans are completed according to client scope, specifications, and applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Ensure HVAC and electrical designs adhere to national and local codes and client needs and specifications.
  • Verify heat load calculations for each project and ensure proper sizing of HVAC equipment.
  • Create or verify computational fluid dynamics analysis for each project and ensure HVAC designs meet heat load requirements.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, enclosure, and electrical vendors and suppliers to select the best-engineered system for each project.
  • Keep the Engineering Manager informed about design issues, schedule impacts, and resolutions.
  • Keep Electrical Engineering informed about electrical requirements and spacing needs for HVAC equipment.
  • Answer questions for the Cummings Integrated Manufacturing production and operations team.
  • Help innovate modular building HVAC design.
  • Attend design meetings when the Engineering Manager requires additional expertise or support during meetings with clients or project teams.
  • Attend occasional site visits or industry conferences to build industry knowledge and stay current with industry developments.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A Professional Engineer license.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
