Requirements
  • A high school diploma and six years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions are required.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and accounting software are required.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and generally accepted accounting procedures and principles is required.
  • The ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports is required.
  • The ability to operate personal computers proficiently and learn new applications and systems is required.
  • The ability to use QuickBooks or other accounting software is required.
  • The ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures consistently is required.
  • The ability to analyze and solve problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop appropriate alternatives where applicable is required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Education Law Association communications by drafting and distributing newsletters and policy updates.
  • Provide advanced administrative support, including calendar management, phone and email communication, visitor greeting, and inquiry resolution.
  • Maintain organized records, electronic files, and procedural documentation.
  • Support human resources functions, including onboarding, employment searches, leave tracking, payroll certification, and timesheet auditing.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff, faculty, and guests.
  • Prepare written communications, including memos, newsletters, and reports.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, maintain accounting records, manage purchasing, and assist with budget tracking and compliance.
  • Manage social media, develop outreach campaigns, and assist with Education Law Association membership recruitment.
  • Plan and coordinate conferences, symposia, and policy briefings, including logistics, registrations, and communications.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up materials for Education Law Association Executive Committee, Board, and standing committee meetings.
  • Oversee publication production and dissemination, ensuring editorial consistency and promoting outputs through multiple channels.
  • Maintain and update Education Law Association websites and digital content to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Collect and report data for dashboards, grant reports, and strategic reviews, and support survey development and analysis.
  • Provide operational support and strategic recommendations to leadership, and attend and assist in Education Law Association Board and Executive Committee meetings.
  • Supervise and oversee student workers as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in education, public policy, business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in event planning, publication workflows, or outreach campaigns is preferred.
  • Work experience in a higher education, nonprofit, or policy-focused setting is preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Ellucian Banner, Workday, Cognos, and Gulfline is preferred.
  • Experience with website content management, social media platforms, and software design tools such as Canva and Adobe is preferred.
