Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 10+ BBs & BDB's within a market in developing new deposit, treasury management, cash management and credit opportunities.
  • Manage performance of individual team members, holding all BBs accountable for achieving production goals and business priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver semi-annual and annual performance appraisals.
  • Formulate and implement a program for business development and customer deepening by identifying the customer and prospect base within the market, organizing resources, focusing officer calling programs, supervising sales staff activities, and making joint calls on important prospects and large accounts to sell and service all banking needs (loans, deposits, Treasury and Merchant Services etc).
  • Provide ongoing group and individual training for BBs in regard to sales techniques, calling strategies, product knowledge/awareness, presentation skills and SBB practices and procedures.
  • Work directly with business bankers to research potential prospects and guide them in capitalizing on opportunities to close sales.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation is submitted so that proper loan underwriting, depository accounts and treasury management policies are followed.
  • Develop a strategic plan for their market within the region. Monitor and manage ongoing market performance to established objectives.
  • Maintain a sales culture within the region which is consistent with corporate sales strategies and objectives.
  • Recruit and maintain an active pipeline of candidates within your market.
  • Actively participate in civic and cultural organizations and programs.
