Requirements
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in programmable logic controller and/or robot programming within industrial automation.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, input/output, and communications.
  • Hands-on experience with system commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel to Canada as required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop programmable logic controller and human-machine interface programs aligned with system requirements and customer specifications.
  • Program and integrate industrial robots, including FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or similar systems, for material handling, guidance, and process automation.
  • Integrate input/output, communications, and device interfaces across automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot system performance, sequencing, and machine functionality during build and commissioning.
  • Develop and implement safety programmable logic controller programs in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Develop and integrate two-dimensional and three-dimensional machine vision applications for inspection, validation, and guidance.
  • Configure and optimize vision systems using Cognex, Keyence, LMI, Matrox, Mech-Mind, Photoneo, or similar platforms.
  • Support implementation of artificial-intelligence-enabled vision tools for inspection and classification applications.
  • Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot vision systems to meet accuracy and performance requirements.
  • Integrate programmable logic controller, robotics, and vision systems into cohesive automation solutions.
  • Commission systems onsite, including input/output validation, communication setup, and system testing.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues across controls, robotics, and vision components.
  • Optimize system performance for uptime, accuracy, and repeatability.

  • Experience integrating two-dimensional or three-dimensional machine vision systems in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with artificial-intelligence-based vision tools or advanced inspection systems.
  • Familiarity with vision-based inspection technologies.
  • Willingness to travel across the United States and to Canada as required.
