The Role

BuzzFeed Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Assistant to support our CEO & Founder, Jonah Peretti. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, self-starter — someone who is a proactive, highly responsible, and organized go-getter with an enthusiastic attitude. 

The position is an in-person role based in our Los Angeles, CA office, and must have the ability to travel to our New York office when needed.

You Will

• Provide high-level administrative support for BuzzFeed’s CEO & Founder
• Coordinate scheduling including a comprehensive calendar, setting up meetings, booking travel, creating itineraries, and tracking key industry events
• Prepare and share documents in advance of meetings; assist with post-meeting follow-ups whenever a deliverable is required
• Support and collaborate with the CEO’s Chief of Staff to help manage executive priorities, administrative needs, and strategic projects
• Coordinate all-staff meetings, board meetings, executive on-sites, quarterly earnings, and more
• Prepare expense reports, work closely with finance, and process invoices for various vendors and leads

You Have

• Significant career level experience 2-4+ years as an executive assistant in tech, media, or entertainment 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong people skills and an interest in problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and organization 
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to multitask and anticipate needs
• Ability to treat highly confidential information with care and discretion
• Must have a familiarity with AI, i.e. ChatGPT, Bard, Claude, Midjourney
• Proficient in Google Apps and MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Apple products including Keynote a plus
• Experience with applications such as Workday and Concur
• The ability to occasionally travel to the East Coast, New York City office as needed (3-4x a year)
