About the job

Requirements
  • Two to four years of professional software engineering experience shipping to production.
  • Strong React and TypeScript experience, including building and maintaining real components in a production codebase and understanding the TypeScript type system.
  • Comfort with a modern React toolchain such as Next.js or Vite.
  • Working knowledge of a Node.js backend framework and a relational database, including adding endpoints, writing queries, and reasoning about data models.
  • Experience with asynchronous user interfaces, including loading and error states, polling or streaming, and handling long-running or partially failed operations.
  • Experience using automated testing as a normal part of software development in a mainstream framework.
  • Fluency with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or comparable tools, including critically reviewing generated code before shipping it.
  • Ability to read code confidently in a language that is not the primary language used for writing code.
Responsibilities
  • Build and ship end-to-end product features across the request path, working from specifications that you help refine.
  • Implement asynchronous user experiences including progress states, partial failures, and recovery paths using established platform patterns.
  • Consume and extend typed API contracts between the web client, NestJS services, and Python AI services.
  • Build interface components consistent with the existing design and component system.
  • Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests for shipped code.
  • Participate in code review by giving and receiving feedback and acting on that feedback.
  • Work with product colleagues to turn creative-tooling ideas into shippable scope.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Mantine or another component library at production scale.
  • Experience with TanStack Query or comparable client-state tooling.
  • Experience with NestJS.
  • Experience with Server-Sent Events or WebSockets, including reconnection and partial-failure handling.
  • Experience with Playwright or another end-to-end testing framework.
  • Experience handling file uploads or image and video asset pipelines.
  • Any Python experience sufficient to read a FastAPI service and make a small change.
  • Experience with Canvas, timeline, or media-editor work using Pixi, Fabric, Remotion, WebGL, or comparable tools.
  • Exposure to MCP, tool calling, or agent-driven interfaces.
