Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Technicians receive licensing support: the Jersey City mechanic role offers trainer assistance for obtaining a commercial driver license.
  • Sales staff receive travel support: the Syracuse leasing role includes a monthly car allowance.
  • Leases create continuing service work: Miller bundles scheduled maintenance, labor, parts, tires and roadside support into full-service contracts.

What critics are saying

  • In Jersey City, mechanics work evenings: the advertised shift runs Monday-Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Commissions make earnings variable: the Syracuse account-manager vacancy advertises $60,000-$70,000 base versus $150,000-plus on-target earnings.
  • Mobile repairs require travel: Albany technicians cover customer sites within a 50-60-mile radius and supply hand tools.

What makes Miller Transportation Group unique

  • Refrigeration service has certified expertise: Miller provides Thermo King and Carrier support alongside its refrigerated fleet.
  • Maintenance moves to customer sites: Miller builds captive shops with its own technicians and managed parts inventory.
  • Fleet oversight is built in: dedicated operations include Geotab tracking, integrated dispatch, compliance systems and driver reporting.
