- A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, or electrical work.
- Basic welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Have or obtain the tools needed to perform the required tasks.
- Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
- A valid driver's license.
- Lockout/tagout certification, or the ability to obtain it.
- Ability to respond to plant emergencies, including hazardous-material incidents, equipment malfunctions, fires, and severe weather.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment.
- Ability to complete maintenance paperwork, work orders, requests, and checklists.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.
- Perform repairs and equipment installation or removal efficiently.
- Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
- Respond to plant emergencies, including hazardous-material incidents, equipment malfunctions, fires, and severe weather, as directed by supervision.
- Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders and requests and complete checklists.
- Perform special projects and duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor or manager.
- Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics.

6/23/22 George’s Inc.: Poultry and Prepared Foods announced it will close one of its food processing plants in Campbell County, Tennessee But the string of fires that continue to damage manufacturing plants across the United States appears to be a deliberate effort to sabotage food processing operations.
George's Inc. announced it would be closing its Caryville food processing plant, WVLT-TV reported.
