Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a science or business field.
  • A Master's degree in an MBA, MHA, MHSA, or related field, or being scheduled to complete the degree before the start date, or currently enrolled in a Master's program with degree conferral expected upon completion of the administrative fellowship.
  • At least one year of health care industry experience, such as an internship, externship, fellowship, or applicable employment.
Responsibilities
  • Support key initiatives and projects in various departments throughout System Service Lines and Physician Practice Management under the direction of the fellowship preceptor.
  • Participate in senior leadership team meetings.
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams and independently to advance Northside's strategic goals.
  • Complete projects designed to strengthen administrative and leadership skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Broad knowledge of current and historical perspectives on health care strategy, business management and administration, clinical practice management, clinical research and education, hospital administration and management, finance, human resources and organizational development, information systems, and managed care.
