Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider certification.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification.
At least two years of work experience in a health care occupation or in a field requiring the use of basic life support skills.
Excellent communication and instructional skills.
A current valid motor vehicle operator's license and the ability to meet and maintain insurability requirements defined by the fleet automobile liability insurance carrier.
Ability to work with a varied population of individuals.
Proficiency in using classroom equipment, including computers, projectors, electronic bulletin boards, televisions, and DVD recorders.
Proficiency in using course-specific training materials and equipment, including medical manikins, barrier devices, and automated external defibrillators.

Responsibilities

Teach American Heart Association Basic Life Support courses using the approved curriculum or teach Professional Development courses.

Desired Qualifications

Certification or licensure in a health care field.

Clarkson College is currently seeking a Professional Development Instructor.

The course instructor will teach American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course using approved curriculum or Professional Development courses.

Required Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent required.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider certification, required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification, required.

Minimum two years working experience in a health care occupation or field requiring the utilization of basic life support skills is required.

Excellent communication and instructional skills required.
