Requirements
  • Two to ten or more years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial planning firm with substantial client contact and exposure to insurance and investment planning.
  • Certified Financial Planner designation.
  • Chartered Investment Manager designation or completion of CFA Level 1.
  • License for Life, Sickness and Accident Insurance.
  • Technical proficiency in financial planning, asset management, and insurance.
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships and explain complex information and concepts simply and clearly.
Responsibilities
  • Build a business within Nicola Wealth by leveraging technical planning and client relationship skills.
  • Deliver client service by understanding changing client needs and circumstances and maintaining their confidence as a trusted advisor.
  • Prepare ongoing analysis of investment portfolio design, insurance-based risk management, retirement income needs, estate planning, cash flow budgeting, education requirements, capital needs analysis, and tax planning.
  • Keep client information and regulatory requirements up to date.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships and build new relationships through client referrals, centers of influence, networking, and other business development opportunities.
  • Partner with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development of the advisory team and provide coaching and mentorship to others.
  • Enhance expertise through seminars, continuing education, and personal development.
