Requirements
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems or related experience.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • An Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour certification is suggested.
  • An Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification is suggested.
  • Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, commercial wiring schematics, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, work on ladders and roofs and in tight spaces, and perform work in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel for a one-week new-hire training course at the company's research and development facility in Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively, maintain attention to detail, communicate verbally and in writing, and follow safety practices.
  • Ability to wear the required company uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
Responsibilities
  • Commission CaptiveAire equipment by verifying that products operate as designed, testing airflows, reviewing installations, testing product functions with laptops and automated tests, and physically testing all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
  • Communicate with facility managers, property owners, and team members about system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Follow Environmental Protection Agency regulations and company safety standards in this safety-sensitive position.
Desired Qualifications
