Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a health-related clinical specialty, healthcare business, finance, economics, or equivalent experience is highly required.
  • Active registered nurse licensure or equivalent five to ten years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a healthcare organization, including experience in healthcare finance, supply chain, clinical operations, and/or a leadership role, is required.
  • Previous project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects by developing project milestones and monitoring progress through successful completion, is required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare technologies is required.
  • Project and change management skills covering initiation, planning and design, execution, monitoring, closing, and post-event evaluation are required.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively while managing multiple concurrent projects involving internal customers, external suppliers, and other stakeholders is required.
  • Analytical skills are required to perform total cost of ownership, cost-benefit, and financial feasibility analyses.
  • The ability to document findings and analyses, including system and business relationships, is required.
  • The ability to proactively prioritize responsibilities and goals is required.
  • Previous experience using healthcare datasets to make data-driven decisions is required.
  • Knowledge of integrated delivery networks, hospital organizational structures, and hospital staff structures, including clinicians, perioperative services, cardiovascular interventional services, laboratory, radiology/interventional radiology, pharmacy, and other clinical disciplines, is required.
  • The ability to use good judgment when performing job functions and interacting with others is required.
  • The ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships by building trust and respect and consistently meeting expectations is required.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and clinical healthcare professionals, delivering accurate information and direction, is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software programs, is required.
  • Functional working knowledge of clinical and surgical supply, supply chain processes, and stock-keeping unit maintenance processes is required.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medical products, services, and technologies to optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining or improving patient care quality.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to support evidence-based decision-making in healthcare procurement, technology adoption, resource allocation, and financial mitigation strategies.
  • Use objective research and clinical outcome data to provide clinical and business and financial strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management.
  • Continuously review and improve processes that support clinical patient care.
  • Work with system clinical care and supply chain teams to assist with contract implementations and conversions.
  • Act as a primary liaison between executive, divisional, departmental, and clinical leadership, frontline clinical staff, and supply chain staff to ensure cost-effective utilization of products, services, and processes.
