- Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations and ensure the organization’s policies and procedures align with regulatory changes.
- Prepare and assist in hospice surveys, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement corrective action plans following compliance reviews.
- Oversee the design and implementation of validation procedures, test plans, and test cases.
- Provide guidance and education to clinical staff on quality and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical best practices.
- Support ongoing training initiatives related to quality improvement, infection control, documentation standards, and patient safety.
- Ensure proper documentation practices to meet Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop, write, and manage the execution of an overall software test strategy.
- Implement and utilize quality assurance tools.
- Create and present risk assessments to identify potential risk.
- Collaborate with information technology to document practice care and documentation in accordance with clinical and quality initiatives.
- Work with quality initiative teams to improve care delivery and documentation.
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and hospice aides to promote high-quality patient-centered care.
- Act as a resource for clinical teams regarding hospice best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure quality goals are met.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
