Requirements
  • Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license.
  • Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in occupational medicine, hold an equivalent international occupational medicine certification, or be board certified in another specialty with experience in occupational medicine.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
  • The candidate must have strong communication skills for education and interactions with government, industry, academic, legislative, labor, and community members.
Responsibilities
  • Practice in the field of occupational medicine.
  • Provide the full spectrum of occupational medicine services at the main clinical location and onsite at workplaces throughout the region.
  • Provide clinical consultations on occupational and environmental medicine issues.
  • Fulfill duties at other assigned worksites, including locations in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with limited travel as needed.
  • Pursue available research opportunities through the School of Public Health and School of Medicine.
Desired Qualifications
  • For appointment at the Associate Professor rank, demonstrate a track record of leadership and publications in high-impact journals.
