Responsibilities
  • Act as a business development and relationship manager with retailers in the EMEAI region across the Entertainment portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain business initiatives with key retailers on behalf of licensing partners.
  • Work with the Brand Management team to align retail development efforts with each brand's overall strategy.
  • Support the day-to-day needs of existing licensee partnerships.
  • Onboard new retailer partners, manage relationships, and create business opportunities, including Direct-to-Retail licensing opportunities.
  • Work with the Business Development, Brand, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to create strategies supporting company growth.
  • Establish retail relationships to help wholesale licensee partners grow, introduce, develop, and advance the brand portfolio.
  • Engage directly with retailers to develop and negotiate Direct-to-Retail licensing opportunities and expand brand, category, and territory growth.
  • Increase growth across relevant retail functions, including customer experience, loyalty, product, and merchandising.
  • Partner with licensees to unlock new retail opportunities and expand existing distribution channels and the retail portfolio.
  • Compile, analyze, and present data to assigned retailers.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly sales performance reviews using retail analytics such as sell-through, on-order position, best-sellers, and advertising.
  • Partner with the Marketplaces team to align and create retail and marketplace development strategies across brands.

Authentic Brands Group acquires majority stake in Drake's OVO lifestyle brand

Authentic Brands Group has acquired a majority stake in Drake's lifestyle brand October's Very Own (OVO). The Canadian rapper will retain a minority stake and continue to shape the brand's creative vision. Authentic is partnering with Vince Holding Corp. on design, product development and retailing of OVO products. Drake described Authentic and Vince as "the perfect partners" to help grow the brand he started in Toronto 20 years ago. Jamie Salter, founder and executive chairman of Authentic, praised OVO's cultural influence and sees opportunities to expand into new markets globally. Authentic has become the second largest licensor in the US behind Disney through celebrity partnerships and brand acquisitions including Brooks Brothers, Champion and Sports Illustrated.
