Mark43 and Box collaborate to keep digital evidence connected to the case record.

Mark43 and Box collaborate to keep digital evidence connected to the case record. October 19, 2026 Integration gives agencies secure, scalable control over digital evidence while simplifying how investigators access and share it. NEW YORK - Mark43, the leading cloud-native public safety operations platform, today announced an integration with Box, the leading Intelligent Content Management platform. The integration keeps digital evidence connected to the case, helping investigators access the context they need to move cases forward, while maintaining control over evidence, sharing and costs. Digital evidence is central to nearly every investigation, yet it is often managed separately from the Records Management System (RMS) and the case context investigators rely on. Body-worn camera, drone and CCTV footage, photos and other content can live across separate systems, forcing investigators to leave the case to find, organize and manually associate evidence with the correct record. Sharing adds another layer of complexity. In a Bureau of Justice Assistance-sponsored survey, 42% of responding agencies reported relying on physical copies to share body-worn camera footage with other agencies, while many digital evidence platforms require prosecutors, courts and other partners to hold their own licenses. As evidence volumes and retention periods grow, this approach becomes more costly, cumbersome and difficult to sustain. "Agencies are collecting more digital evidence than ever, and that volume will only grow as they increasingly use drones, sensors, video and other technologies in the field," said Florian Mayr, co-founder and Head of RMS at Mark43. "Investigators shouldn't have to conduct a separate search to find the evidence supporting their case. By connecting Box directly to the case in Mark43 RMS, we're making that digital evidence easier to access while giving agencies more choice in how they manage it." "Effective collaboration depends on people having secure access to the right information and a clear understanding of the context around it," said Sabih Khan, Director, Justice and Public Safety Business at Box. "By bringing Box and Mark43 together, agencies can keep digital evidence securely connected to the case record, creating a more consistent way for teams and external partners to access, manage, and share critical content throughout the process. This helps reduce fragmentation between systems while giving agencies greater control over how sensitive information is handled." Through the integration, Mark43 remains the operational system of record, connecting reports, people, locations and investigative data within the case, while Box provides the secure, scalable environment for the digital evidence that supports it. When an investigator opens a case in Mark43, a corresponding folder is automatically created in Box and labeled with the case number. With one click, investigators can move directly from the case to its corresponding evidence folder in Box without manual searching, tagging or jumping between systems. Mark43 and Box pair enterprise-grade security and compliance, including FedRAMP and CJIS, with greater agency control over digital evidence. Agencies can define who can view, download and share sensitive content and maintain a full audit trail as evidence moves through the justice process, helping support accountability and chain of custody without requiring additional licenses for external recipients. About Mark43 Mark43 brings modern technology to enhance public safety, making state, local, and federal agencies faster, smarter, and their communities safer. Its integrated Records Management System, Computer-Aided Dispatch, and Data Analytics form the backbone of a unified, real-time public safety operating platform to streamline workflows, improve response times, and foster collaboration. Trusted by over 300 agencies, Mark43 increases effectiveness and efficiency amid rising demands and limited resources. By supporting first responders with innovative tools, AI technology, and a strong cybersecurity foundation, Mark43 equips public safety agencies to address the challenges of today and tomorrow. Command palette. 4 hours ago LumenUs, a newly founded grief care platform, is leveraging artificial intelligence to automate the administrative aftermath of a death, a process that typically demands an average of 570 hours and places an immense burden on bereaved families. Founded by Sara Tashakorinia following the loss of her husband eight years ago, the startup directly addresses the gap between emotional grief and the complex logistical requirements that accompany estate settlement. Tashakorinia observed that grieving individuals are effectively thrust into the role of project managers without guidance, frequently encountering opaque pricing structures and unclaimed financial benefits. The platform operates in the immediate period following a passing. Users complete a structured onboarding process that gathers specific details regarding their legal, financial, and psychological circumstances. This data enables the system to personalize workflows and categorize tasks by urgency. By automating routine administrative functions such as tax form retrieval, insurance claim filing, and account closure, LumenUs aims to reclaim hundreds of hours for users. The architecture also identifies potential unclaimed assets, including life insurance proceeds and government benefits, which collectively represent billions of dollars in lost funds annually. Building trust around highly sensitive personal and financial data required a technical foundation rooted in security. Tashakorinia, a cybersecurity specialist, assembled a team comprising co-founder Sajad Mirzaei, a former engineer at Google and Box, and innovation scientist Larry Keeley. Development incorporates ongoing consultation with licensed clinicians and social workers to ensure the platform remains empathetic and legally compliant. The system deliberately avoids managing the emotional aspects of mourning, focusing exclusively on streamlining the mechanical components of estate settlement. LumenUs is scheduled to begin an early access rollout in October and has been selected for TechCrunch's Startup Battlefield 200 program. The startup's initial phase targets individuals navigating the immediate administrative collapse following a death, with long-term ambitions to extend support across the broader grieving timeline. By integrating automated document processing with financial discovery tools, the platform seeks to transform a traditionally overwhelming obligation into a structured and financially mitigated experience for grieving families. The firm posted second-quarter revenue of $321.1 million, up 9.2% year-over-year, and raised full-year guidance to approximately $1.29 billion. Box faces stiff competition from Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox. The company's Box Suites now account for 69% of revenue, whilst it develops AI-driven document tools. Caddi + Box: turning managed content into action.

Caddi + Box: turning managed content into action. Law firms and RIAs use Caddi to extend the value of Box by automating the workflows around their documents: Box is the source of truth, and Caddi agents help teams process content, execute firm-specific workflows, and keep connected systems in sync. Caddi - September 2, 2026 Caddi integrates with Box's Intelligent Content Management platform to automate content-driven workflows. Firms that manage their documents securely in Box can train Caddi agents on the work that surrounds those documents, the way they would train a new hire, and then let the agents execute those workflows consistently and transparently. Business documents often arrive through email, e-signature platforms, and client portals. Once they are saved in Box, Caddi can support additional workflow steps such as applying metadata, extracting key information, updating a CRM or matter-management system, and notifying the right people. Caddi helps automate these downstream workflows while Box remains the trusted system for managing and securing the underlying content. "In legal, the problem has never been a lack of information, it's that the information firms already have is scattered across emails, attachments, matters, and disconnected systems. That fragmentation makes it harder to turn institutional knowledge into something the firm can actually use. By securely connecting Caddi's agents with Box, firms can bring automation directly to their enterprise content, organizing and governing information while creating a trusted foundation for AI to put that knowledge to work." Tara Daisy, Managing Director of Legal at Box Together, Box and Caddi create a connected content workflow. Box provides the secure content foundation, collaboration capabilities, permissions, and governance, while Caddi agents work with that content to execute firm-specific processes, extract information, and keep related systems aligned. A few of the agents its customers run today: * Signed-document workflows. When an executed agreement is saved to Box, the agent applies the firm's metadata, updates the related CRM record, and notifies the owner. * Account opening. The agent reads account-opening paperwork managed in Box, extracts the required details, and creates the linked household, person, and new-account records in the CRM. * Content organization. On a nightly schedule, the agent can help apply naming conventions, identify duplicate copies, and route documents under the firm's filing rules. RIAs especially feel this. Custodian paperwork, new account forms, and signed agreements move through an advisory firm every day, and each one may trigger important follow-up work across the CRM and portfolio system after it is securely managed in Box. Law firms see the same pattern with engagement letters and matter documents. In both cases the division of labor is clean: Box is where content is managed, secured, and collaborated on, and Caddi provides the agents that help organizations put that content to work through consistent, repeatable, and logged workflows.
