Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in advancement, development programs, executive education, convenings, or complex stakeholder-driven initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead sophisticated programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Previous experience in strategic event programming.
  • Experience in personal solicitation.
  • Strong judgment, diplomacy, and confidence navigating challenging conversations.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, and other constituents.
  • Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A work independently, solve problems, take on responsibility, take thoughtful risks, and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to achieve results.
  • Ability to anticipate and embrace change, acquire and use new skills, and work effectively in changing conditions.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organization and strategic thinking, with the ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, lead, and deliver complex, high-impact development programs that advance philanthropic goals and strengthen engagement with alumni, donors, and institutional leaders.
  • Lead the programmatic vision for Babson Connect Worldwide, including agenda development, content strategy, and speaker themes.
  • Identify and evaluate international destinations for Babson Connect Worldwide based on program objectives, audience engagement, and advancement outcomes.
  • Lead signature Advancement programming aligned with presidential travel, fundraising initiatives, and donor-engagement trips.
  • Provide programmatic leadership across Babson Connect Worldwide while coordinating roles, timelines, and expectations with Donor Experience Events and Marketing teams.
  • Establish, manage, and lead a high-level Advisory Committee of major and principal gift prospects; cultivate relationships, guide discussions, influence outcomes, and maintain alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Drive sponsorship strategy and engagement, manage sponsor relationships and touchpoints, and ensure sponsor participation supports program and advancement goals.
  • Advance long-term sustainability through diversified sponsorship support, attendance, and measurable advancement outcomes.
  • Research, recruit, and engage site-specific committee members and partners, and convene focus sessions to strengthen the program year over year.
  • Manage additional high-profile development programs and engagements, including board-related initiatives and signature institutional moments.
  • Partner with Babson leadership and advisory committees to shape program topics, speaker strategy, and overall direction.
  • Serve as the primary strategic lead for committee engagement and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Donor Experience and College Marketing to align messaging, positioning, visibility efforts, and target audiences with program strategy.
  • Engage senior leadership, including the President and President's Council, to coordinate signature engagements and maximize institutional impact.
  • Oversee program-level registration strategy, reporting, and stakeholder updates.
  • Work within established program budgets and partner with Events to align financial parameters with advancement objectives.
  • Lead planning and engagement strategy for the Global Advisory Board's annual multi-day destination experience.
  • Assume additional responsibilities consistent with a senior development program role.
  • Staff events as necessary, including occasional nights and weekends.
