Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expected to graduate by Summer 2028.
  • Hands-on experience using artificial intelligence tools, such as large language model application programming interfaces, assistants, or coding agents, in real projects; experience building an agent with tools or orchestration is preferred over prompt-only chat.
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, including retrieval design, chunking, evaluation, grounding, or production-minded prototyping, applied to real or simulated internal or knowledge-base-style data.
  • Proficiency in Python for prototyping and integration; ability to consume and create application programming interfaces and work with JSON; ability to understand YAML for configuration.
  • Experience with Git workflows, including branches, merge requests, and meaningful commit messages.
  • Sound judgment in data handling, including avoiding secrets in prompts and logs, minimizing sensitive data, and following internal policies.
Responsibilities
  • Design and prototype agent workflows with tool use, policy boundaries, and human-in-the-loop controls where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with platform and service teams to make observability and operational context available to agents in a safe and governed way.
  • Document experiments, limitations, evaluation approaches, and safety assumptions.
  • Ship changes through Git using branches, merge requests, and meaningful commits.
  • Learn the observability stack and available data, including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Prototype a generative agent that uses approved observability sources to propose structured mitigation suggestions for alerts, including hypotheses, checks, likely causes, and safe next steps, with traceability to queries, dashboards, or signals where possible.
  • Build and iterate on retrieval-augmented generation over permissioned internal data sources, such as runbooks, tickets, documentation, system design, network design, and postmortems, so suggestions and question answering are grounded and citeable.
  • Improve the coverage and quality of internal data corpora through metadata, ownership, and freshness improvements.
  • Outline how the system could execute approved remediations behind explicit guardrails and human approval.
  • Implement only approved and reviewed remediation functionality; do not make autonomous production changes without platform sign-off.
  • Explore how additional internal, permissioned firm data can support natural-language questions for engineers.
  • Apply permissioning, auditing, logging, and cost controls throughout all project phases.
Desired Qualifications
  • Linux fundamentals, including shell usage, processes, logs, permissions, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, and the conceptual distinction between load balancing and Ingress.
  • Kubernetes fundamentals, including debugging, pods, services, and Ingress.
  • Coursework or projects involving Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, continuous integration and continuous delivery, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.

RWX raises $12M Series A to scale dev cloud platform for AI-driven software engineering

RWX, a dev cloud platform for AI-driven software engineering, has raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Hyde Park Venture Partners. Existing investor Quiet Capital participated, alongside The O.H.I.O. Fund R1 Capital, DV, and angel investors including Bryan Johnson and Jenkins creator Kohsuke Kawaguchi. The Columbus-based company addresses bottlenecks in validating AI-generated code. As AI agents write code faster than humans, traditional CI pipelines and test suites struggle to keep pace. RWX's platform helps engineering teams validate software more quickly through content-based caching and infrastructure designed specifically for AI-driven development. Customers include Honeycomb, Verkada, nCino, and Coalesce. The company will use the funding to expand its team and accelerate platform development. RWX was founded by CEO Dan Manges and CTO Tommy Graves, who previously cofounded Root.
