Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction leading projects.
  • Deep understanding of hydronic trades including piping, process piping, plumbing, site-utilities start-up, and general fabrication processes.
  • Current member of the local hydronics union in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace including Docs, Gmail, Sheets, and Forms.
  • Experience with Adobe, ProCore, Bluebeam, and Box.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of current building and mechanical codes.
  • Knowledge of local quality, occupational safety, and health regulations for construction job sites.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel 75-90% of the time between the primary office, job sites, and regional branch offices.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations, strategic planning, and personnel management for General Forepersons, Truck Forepersons, and Forepersons within the hydronic trades.
  • Lead and oversee all hydronic field activities to ensure standards and productivity meet company goals.
  • Assist direct reports with resource management, team selection, project execution strategies, and scheduling.
  • Review project documents to determine staffing requirements and assign field supervision and labor to projects.
  • Execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols and monitor quality control measures to ensure output meets industry standards.
  • Implement Safety Department protocols and company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in project kick-off, mid-job, and wrap-up meetings, as well as pre-bid and post-bid interviews.
  • Review bid estimates and conduct job walks with Project Managers.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with installation, materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Track project labor budgets and assist the Director with departmental budgets, financial planning, and fleet management.
  • Engage with labor relations representatives to resolve labor disputes and coordinate labor requests with local union labor halls.
  • Manage the hiring and termination of union hydronic staff within the assigned area.
  • Mentor and develop General Forepersons and Forepersons to ensure strong leadership and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers on constructability, resource availability, and project execution opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Regional Superintendents to align processes and leverage resources across different locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Member or affiliate of local apprenticeship training programs.
  • Degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Experience in remote training software and technologies.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management and Project Management platforms such as Bidtracer.
  • Experience with collaboration software such as Smartsheet, Slack, Revizto, and PlanGrid.
  • Experience with design and detailing software including Autodesk Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Collection, Revit, AutoCAD, Assemble, and Navisworks.
  • Experience with spooling and fabrication software such as MSuite Bimpro and MSuite FabPro.
  • Experience with Trimble software.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
