Junior Electrical Engineer
About the job
- A minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
- Experience with the Navy or other Department of Defense laboratories is a plus.
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design is required.
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, digital voltmeters, and function generators is required.
- Experience with software tools such as Python, pSPICE, LabVIEW, C/C++, or MATLAB is required.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required.
- The candidate must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.
- Some travel is required.
- Join the Engineering Services Division as a team member at the government client site at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Maryland, supporting development and execution of the United States Navy’s Underwater Electromagnetic Signatures Silencing program.
- Support Navy surface ship and submarine signature measurement systems and fleet support.
- Integrate magnetic silencing systems hardware and software.
- Design, test, and evaluate underwater sensors.
- Contribute to developing project plans and test and analysis plans.
- Write and brief progress and results to upper management and sponsors.
- Experience with the Navy or other Department of Defense laboratories is a plus.
- Successful completion of a current background investigation is a plus.
