Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and up to three months of relevant work experience.
  • Skill in using cleaning supplies and equipment, receiving visitors, telephone etiquette, maintaining records, computers, and related office equipment.
  • Knowledge of institutional or industrial cleaning methods, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends, remain awake and alert throughout the shift, and report as scheduled regardless of circumstances.
  • Ability to read and write, understand and follow oral and written instructions, maintain physical stamina for manual labor, and perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff and guests from all backgrounds, deal with aggressive or hostile people, maintain confidentiality, and preserve professional boundaries.
  • Ability to compose thorough and accurate incident reports and documentation and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Ability to work in hot and humid surroundings and meet the stated physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Must follow applicable policies, procedures, code of conduct, attendance rules, and computer technology policies.
  • Must undergo and pass required drug and alcohol testing before performing safety-sensitive functions.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor cameras and residents for safety concerns that could jeopardize clients' success in the program.
  • Provide comfort care and hygiene items to clients as needed and log items distributed.
  • Restock client toiletries according to schedules and identified needs.
  • Complete incident reports and submit them to the TLC Manager before the end of the shift for review.
  • Check clients and guests in and out.
  • Identify medical emergencies, conflicts, and mental health crises; contact appropriate authorities and the Case Manager Supervisor as needed.
  • Notify the TLC Manager of critical incidents and maintain timely documentation according to center protocols.
  • Assist with food collection and assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Perform inspections of the center and client rooms as directed.
  • Ensure clients sign the morning attendance log and are present and signed in at curfew.
  • Answer the phone and take messages.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and create a welcoming environment.
  • Coordinate with Case Managers regarding client interactions and significant events during the shift.
  • Assess safety concerns and make emergency calls as needed.
  • Treat clients respectfully, preserve confidentiality, avoid power struggles, and maintain patience during difficult situations.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, including avoiding social relationships and exchanges of money or goods.
  • Follow TLC and Tulsa County policies and procedures and perform other duties as needed.
  • Participate in seasonal workplace decorating and contribute to a welcoming environment.
