Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing pursuit processes through “Pursuit to Win” activities, developing differentiated proposals aligned with win strategy, and developing outcome-oriented solutions tailored to each pursuit to improve customer experience.
  • Strong expertise in HOAI.
  • Strong network in the German mobility market, particularly in roads, rail, and potentially ports.
  • Demonstrated experience developing future-proof project delivery models that are viable both globally and locally.
  • More than 10 years of experience in services and consulting sales and commercial project management.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate internal stakeholders and willingness to constructively challenge team members.
  • Creative, innovative, and customer-oriented approach.
  • Effective internal networking and teamwork.
  • Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary transportation pursuit projects focused on rail, roads, and ports, executing “The Arcadis Way Pursuit to Win” activities through completion, including developing compelling proposals, participating in selection interviews, and closing pursuit activities.
  • Actively engage the Executive Pursuit Committee at required interfaces.
  • Assemble the pursuit team, including working with the Bid Manager to identify Commercial Enablement resources and ensure the best possible team.
  • Develop appropriate commercial strategies for pursuits.
  • Identify sustainability and digitalization initiatives to increase pursuit success.
  • Lead pursuit teams through key discussions, such as M.O.R.E. and Win Room, to develop the win strategy.
  • Write technical proposal sections and develop content tailored to customer requirements and aligned with the agreed win strategy, including key messages and win themes.
  • Develop and effectively manage the pursuit budget.
  • Ensure OSC is updated and the pursuit CollaborationHub SharePoint page is activated.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience throughout all pursuit phases.
  • Capture lessons learned and share them with other pursuit projects within GBA.
  • Identify and continuously improve pursuit processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency, improve customer experience, and optimize project delivery models.
  • Collaborate with the Account Leader on necessary customer interactions, including participation in relevant industry bodies and conferences.
  • Conduct post-selection debriefs with the customer and pursuit team to capture and share lessons learned and best practices.
  • Ensure seamless project delivery, high GEC utilization, and promotion of digital and sustainability offerings.
  • Identify commercial strategies, including margin, profitability, and country-level profitability, and coordinate with Finance and Legal, such as on currency conversion.
  • Actively participate in Communities of Practice by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Lead a diverse internal pursuit team, set goals, manage performance, and ensure employees have the skills needed to achieve pursuit and company goals.
  • Collaborate with the Pursuits Director to develop and continuously improve pursuit processes, systems, and policies supporting organizational performance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with BA Sales Directors in Germany, sector leaders, Account Leaders, Solution Leaders, and core team members and partners to maximize value for strategic pursuits and customers.
  • Partner with the Bid Manager to maximize Commercial Enablement’s contribution to pursuits.
