Requirements
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in the specified discipline engineering and at least five years of practical experience in construction specified discipline field engineering.
  • The candidate must have an Associate's degree in the specified discipline engineering and five to ten years of practical experience in construction specified discipline engineering.
  • The candidate must have a high school diploma and ten or more years of practical experience in construction specified discipline engineering.
  • The candidate must have working knowledge of discipline specific codes and standards.
  • The candidate must have previous experience generating work execution plans, preferably utilizing the Asset Suite work control system.
  • The candidate must have previous experience generating job hazards analyses.
  • The candidate must have previous experience performing material take-off and procurement.
  • Specific Discipline = Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Civil, Instruments and Controls as determined by requestor.
Responsibilities
  • The candidate will perform design output constructability reviews.
  • The candidate will review design output and vendor documents.
  • The candidate will conduct field walk downs with design engineers.
  • The candidate will verify design constructability including procedure and code compliance.
  • The candidate will verify field conditions versus design output.
  • The candidate will verify material availability.
  • The candidate will submit constructability comments.
  • The candidate will track comments to resolution.
  • The candidate will support project team design review meetings.
  • The candidate will develop / expedite bill of materials.
  • The candidate will track the progress / status of material delivery.
  • The candidate will coordinate delivery of material to the field.
  • The candidate will verify received material against ordered material.
  • The candidate will walk downs with craft supervision & support groups.
  • The candidate will develop installation sequence.
  • The candidate will generate work instructions.
  • The candidate will generate inspection and test records or coordinate with quality control.
  • The candidate will understand layout / survey needs and generate layout / survey requests.
  • The candidate will generate hazards analysis for field execution of construction scope.
  • The candidate will support/lead team hazard analysis review meetings.
  • The candidate will generate or support generation of job specific permits as required.
  • The candidate will manage lockout/tagout order - Power services utilization permit.
  • The candidate will handle hot work, asbestos disturbance, confined space, radiological, excavation, hazardous waste permits as applicable.
  • The candidate will attend / chair execution plan review meetings.
  • The candidate will develop routing for list for hazards analysis approval.
  • The candidate will develop routing list for work plan approval.
  • The candidate will coordinate and expedite work package approval routing.
  • The candidate will disposition comments to the work execution plan.
  • The candidate will assemble approved work execution plan.
  • The candidate will provide status & update of work execution plan in the SRS work control passport system.
  • The candidate will lead pre-job briefings with craft workers.
  • The candidate will perform task ready walk down with craft supervision.
  • The candidate will verify quantities of installed commodities.
  • The candidate will coordinate daily field support.
  • The candidate will expedite / order material as required.
  • The candidate will coordinate material testing.
  • The candidate will coordinate and status shop fabrication in support of field execution.
  • The candidate will perform field inspections.
  • The candidate will identify and coordinate resolution of field installation issues.
  • The candidate will generate design completion notices.
  • The candidate will ensure accuracy of work execution plan status.
  • The candidate will close all required permits.
  • The candidate will close work execution plan documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with radiological work planning and hazard analysis is desirable.
  • Experience in developing ordinary and critical lift plans is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SRS specific mechanical guides and standards is a plus.
  • Capable of climbing and spending extended periods of time in the field is desirable.
  • Capable of obtaining qualification to work in radiological work areas is desirable.
