Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial or utility construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods associated with piping, combined cycle, gas turbine, and simple cycle projects.
  • Experience with construction project budgeting and estimating.
  • Experience scheduling construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors on construction projects.
  • Experience with outage planning.
  • Experience managing customer relationships across the full project lifecycle.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training or equivalent before hire or within 30 days of onboarding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project work plans, adapting them to evolving project needs and requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day project operations in alignment with project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Complete project documentation and reports accurately and timely.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and all project safety requirements.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses and take proactive measures to keep projects within budget.
  • Develop accurate project estimates considering relevant factors for budgetary accuracy and project feasibility.
  • Manage hiring for project positions by defining job requirements, conducting interviews, and selecting craft personnel.
  • Identify resource needs and allocate responsibilities among team members to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Uphold quality control standards so work meets customer expectations, company standards, and industry codes.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans and specifications and promptly address deviations.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and address customer needs, concerns, and expectations.
  • Mitigate project risks through comprehensive risk-management strategies.
  • Adjust strategies as project needs evolve to remain aligned with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Desired Qualifications
  • NCCCO Rigger Level I certification; candidates without current certification may be considered if willing to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • An existing construction crew that can be brought to the project.
