Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documents.
Develop labour, equipment, material, and production assumptions.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, risks, and opportunities.
Support bid strategy and tender preparation.
Work closely with Operations and Project Management to align estimating assumptions with field execution.
Support project turnover from estimating into construction.
Maintain a safety-minded and high-accountability work culture while working with supervisors and other employees.
Support estimating and business development activities with estimators, operational leaders, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
Alberta civil construction experience is considered a strong asset.
Civil Engineer or C.E.T. experience or qualification is an asset.

The Role
The Estimator will support opportunities across:
Municipal infrastructure and roadway construction
Earthworks and site development
Asphalt paving and concrete

Key responsibilities will include:
