  • At least five years of experience in industrial automation controls design and commissioning.

  • Experience with scheduling and estimating.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley programmable logic controller programming, specifically ControlLogix.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time, move throughout the office, operate a computer and other productivity machinery, inspect documents, and communicate through talking and hearing.
Responsibilities
  • Manage controls development and delivery for airport baggage security systems.
  • Partner with the project manager, engineering staff, and customers to deliver successful projects.
  • Lead a team designing electrical device layouts, control panel drawings, wiring schematics, descriptions of operations, programmable logic controller programming, and graphical reporting systems.
  • Supervise Controls Engineer employees, including conducting performance reviews, reviewing timecards, and ensuring adherence to employment requirements.
  • Execute projects from conception through client handover.
  • Coordinate controls engineers and detailers in cooperation with the mechanical engineering team and project management.
  • Manage requirements, integration, and configuration changes throughout projects.
  • Delegate work to team members over the long term and on a day-to-day basis.
  • Solve problems to optimize resources, scheduling, and budget.
  • Meet timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Coach team members on project execution and propose technical solutions for complex problems.
  • Oversee system functionality and technical quality of automated applications.
  • Attend design review meetings with customers.
  • Support proposals and customer inquiries.
  • Estimate new project work.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives.

Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business.
