Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Five years of experience as a program manager or technical program manager.
  • Five years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or systems integration within industrial or mission-critical environments.
  • Five years of experience with Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System architectures, including Direct Digital Control, Programmable Logic Controller, virtual machines, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems, along with BACnet, Modbus, and Simple Network Management Protocol communication protocols.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time to provide on-site support across various project locations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide design development oversight and ensure the owner's requirements are met.
  • Act as the definitive resource for integrators and contractors to resolve ambiguities in sequences of operations, input/output lists, and network topology diagrams.
  • Perform periodic site walk-throughs to verify physical installation and ensure correct placement for accurate readings.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between design intent and field conditions to prevent commissioning delays, ensuring hardware matches programmed logic.
  • Ensure installations meet local electrical codes, cybersecurity hardening standards, Google standards, and project-specific automation requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve sequence issues, controls intent, and changes to the sequence of operations during construction.
  • Generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives, and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in the controls or systems engineering specialty.
  • Execute and deliver the supply of third-party data center projects.
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical authority for automation during construction.
  • Serve as the lead technical point of contact for Building Management System, Electrical Power Monitoring System, and Programmable Logic Controller engineering questions during construction.
  • Ensure the physical installation of sensors, controllers, and network architecture aligns with logical design intent to enable system communication and operational visibility.

  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to facilitate effective cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Ability to trace a failure from a software dashboard back to a physical wiring or sensor issue in the field.
  • Ability to translate complex automation logic into clear instructions for field technicians and electrical contractors.
  • Ability to focus on point-to-point accuracy to ensure 100% data integrity for facility monitoring systems.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to navigate a complex matrix organization.
