Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Willingness and ability to co-locate at project locations under the company's traveling plan is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex electrical projects is required, including on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and applicable codes, including the National Electrical Code and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involving strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of manpower and resources.
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish required tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand contract-document scope and the scope of electrical work to be performed.
  • Willingness and ability to train and educate assigned subordinates.
  • Ability to work at construction job sites exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, with occasional use of closed-toe shoes, a hard hat, and eye protection.
  • Ability to perform the stated physical duties, including sitting, kneeling, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting files, bending, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships to secure future business.
  • Direct and supervise general foremen, foremen, and their crews in compliance with executed contracts, union agreements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Manage assigned projects economically while maintaining quality workmanship, a positive industry image, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain files, correspondence, schedules, reports, contract documents, and billing required to perform contract responsibilities.
  • Direct project planning through purchasing, engineering, subcontracting, and installation.
  • Perform take-offs and use estimating software to prepare change orders.
  • Work with the preconstruction team during the bidding process when necessary.
