About the company

Genmab develops antibody-based therapies to treat cancer. The company discovers, develops, and commercializes proprietary antibody technologies and treatments designed to target and kill cancer cells, often in collaboration with other biotech or pharmaceutical partners. Its products work by using antibodies that recognize specific cancer cell markers, helping the immune system or the drugs attack and destroy those cells. Genmab differentiates itself through its own patented antibody platforms and its focus on strategically partnering for development and commercialization, allowing it to leverage scientific expertise and shared resources rather than relying on a single product. The company aims to turn scientific insights into approved cancer medicines that improve patient outcomes while building value through licensing deals and collaborations with researchers and drug developers around the world.

What believers are saying

  • August 6, 2026 Genmab raised 2026 revenue guidance to $4.325-$4.525 billion.
  • European Commission approved TEPKINLY on July 6, 2026, expanding epcoritamab's lymphoma franchise.
  • Merus deal adds petosemtamab, giving Genmab a deeper solid-tumor pipeline starting 2026.

What critics are saying

  • July 23, 2026 EPCORE DLBCL-1 missed U.S. overall survival, weakening epcoritamab's expansion story.
  • Genmab carries about $5.2 billion borrowings after the 2025 Merus acquisition.
  • DARZALEX royalty growth eventually fades after 2029; pipeline failures then hit the business hard.

What makes Genmab unique

  • Genmab monetizes royalty-heavy oncology franchises, especially DARZALEX and Kesimpta, funding R&D.
  • Its DuoBody platform produced epcoritamab, EPKINLY, and several next-generation bispecific programs.
  • Genmab commercializes Tivdak independently outside the United States, proving real launch capability.

Genmab's petosemtamab data and Incyte deal raise stakes on $6.9B 2029 revenue forecast

Genmab reported updated Phase 2 data for its antibody petosemtamab in head and neck and colorectal cancer. It also announced a clinical trial collaboration with Incyte on KRAS G12D-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer. The drug is now in parallel Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials, combined with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted KRAS treatments. This concentrates Genmab's spending and execution risk in one program. Analysts expect revenue of $6.9 billion and earnings of $1.8 billion by 2029, assuming 18.8% yearly revenue growth. Earnings today stand at $788 million. The most optimistic analysts had projected about $9 billion in revenue and $3 billion in earnings.

ESMO: Lilly touts 79% ADC response rate in competitive ovarian cancer space.

ESMO: Lilly touts 79% ADC response rate in competitive ovarian cancer space. Fierce Biotech October 24, 2026 Nick Paul Taylor Eli Lilly has shared phase 1 data on an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) in platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer (PSOC), shedding light on the company's chances of competing for a market targeted by rivals including AbbVie and Genmab. The PSOC cohort enrolled 33 patients to receive sofetabart mipitecan (Sofe-M), an FRα-directed ADC, in combination with bevacizumab. Participants had progressed at least six months after the last platinum dose. Two-thirds of participants had received a PARP inhibitor, such as AstraZeneca's Lynparza, and about 10% had received AbbVie's FRα-directed ADC Elahere. Lilly used the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress to share data from the trial. On Saturday, researchers revealed a 79.3% response rate in PSOC patients, including a 20.7% complete...

Genmab A/S and Incyte announce Phase 1/2 study to evaluate petosemtamab plus INCB161734 and standard-of-care chemotherapy in first-line KRAS g12d-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer.

Genmab A/S and Incyte announce Phase 1/2 study to evaluate petosemtamab plus INCB161734 and standard-of-care chemotherapy in first-line KRAS g12d-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer. Published on 10/24/2026 at 08:05 am EDT S&P Capital IQ Genmab A/S and Incyte announced a clinical trial collaboration to evaluate petosemtamab, Genmab?s investigational IgG1-bispecific antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and leucine-rich repeat containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5), in combination with INCB161734, Incyte?s investigational, potent and selective KRAS G12D inhibitor, and standard-of-care chemotherapy as a first-line treatment for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer harboring a KRAS G12D mutation, an area with substantial unmet medical need. Under the collaboration, Genmab will conduct the Phase 1/2 study evaluating petosemtamab in combination with INCB161734 and standard-of-care chemotherapy in patients with KRAS G12D-mutated mCRC in the first-line setting. Incyte will co-fund the study and provide clinical supply of INCB161734. KRAS mutations occur in approximately 40% of colorectal cancers, with G12D being the most common KRAS mutation. Petosemtamab is an investigational human IgG1-based bispecific antibody targeting the EGFR and the LGR5 and designed to support multiple anti-tumor mechanisms. It inhibits EGFR-mediated signaling by engaging a unique site on the receptor to prevent ligand binding. In addition, petosemtamab triggers EGFR degradation in cancer stem-like cells expressing both EGFR and LGR5. Petosemtamab is also engineered to enhance innate immune-mediated activity through interactions with macrophages and natural killer cells. It is currently being investigated in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and other solid tumors, including colorectal cancer (CRC). Petosemtamab is being evaluated in combination with chemotherapy in two Phase 3 trials in first- and second-line RAS/BRAF wild-type metastatic CRC. INCB161734 is an investigational, novel, selective and orally bioavailable small molecule ON/OFF KRAS G12D inhibitor. KRAS is one of the most frequently altered oncogenic drivers across solid tumors, and the KRAS G12D mutation is among the most common KRAS alterations, occurring in approximately 40% of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cases and approximately 15% of colorectal cancer (CRC) cases. INCB161734 is being evaluated in the global Phase 3 DAWN-303 (NCT07522073) study which is currently enrolling patients with previously untreated KRAS G12D-mutated pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) to further evaluate the efficacy and safety of INCB161734 in combination with standard-of-care (SoC) chemotherapy. INCB161734 is also being evaluated as a monotherapy and in combination with standard-of-care (SoC) chemotherapy (gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel [GEMNabP] or modified FOLFIRINOX [mFOLFIRINOX]), in an ongoing open-label Phase 1 study across KRAS G12D-mutated solid tumors (NCT06179160).
