Traveling Superintendent - Construction
About the job
- At least 5 years of building and construction management experience.
- Experience with OSHA site safety.
- Current knowledge of modern technology and excellent communication skills.
- Proven on-site construction technical knowledge and understanding of job facets including concrete, masonry, metals, wood and plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishing, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, transportation, waterway and marine construction, wastewater, and demolition.
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
- Lead and manage subcontractors.
- Oversee all phases of public works or private commercial construction projects, from initial planning through completion.
- Administer the safety program and take responsibility for site safety.
- Represent customer service and administer the quality control program.
- At least 9 years of building and construction management experience.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree, or relevant experience such as commercial projects, hospitals, public projects, schools, or multifamily projects.
- Estimating experience.
- Working knowledge of project management processes and software, including Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE.
- OSHA 30-hour training.
- LEED project experience.
- Proven experience in multi-story construction.
