- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or an adjacent discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of automotive sales experience, including strategic business development and experience with global original equipment manufacturers, is required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to be on call as needed to support meetings outside regular hours.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with automotive original equipment manufacturers, with a focus on General Motors and including Ford, Stellantis, Rivian, Tesla, and other manufacturers.
- Develop multi-year original equipment manufacturer business acquisition strategies aligned to vehicle platforms, model cycles, and sourcing timelines.
- Lead request for quotation, request for information, and request for proposal activities, including championing cross-functional working-level meetings, developing pricing strategies, presenting to senior management for approval, and making commercial submissions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with original equipment manufacturer purchasing, engineering, and program teams as the primary commercial interface with customers.
- Monitor automotive market trends, original equipment manufacturer strategies, and competitive dynamics.
- Lead monthly Sales Strategy meetings focused on current and past requests for quotation.
- Manage customer financials, including quoting customers, obtaining purchase and tooling orders, addressing extraordinary costs, and obtaining customer approval for recovery throughout the program or project life using internal and customer systems.
- Participate in customer program and project team meetings and report all financial matters to the relevant functional groups.
- Assist the Sales team in developing new and improved processes and procedures.
- Wire harness experience with General Motors is preferred.
