Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of life sciences commercial experience across asset or brand strategy, launch, portfolio growth, marketing, medical, market access, patient services, field, or commercial operations and transformation topics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, professional services, or an equivalent internal corporate strategy role.
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
Responsibilities
  • Lead asset or brand strategy, launch, portfolio growth, market access, patient services, and broader commercial strategy workstreams.
  • Assess market dynamics, customer needs, competitive landscapes, access considerations, and commercial growth opportunities.
  • Translate strategic recommendations into functional or enterprise implications across operating model, process, governance, capability, talent, and technology.
  • Identify where artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, copilots, or agentic workflows can improve commercial decision-making, execution, or ways of working.
  • Facilitate client discussions and synthesize research, interviews, benchmarks, and data inputs into executive-ready recommendations.
  • Anticipate risks, dependencies, and shifting client priorities; prepare teams to pivot as programs evolve while keeping delivery focused on outcomes.
  • Shape client objectives into clear workplans, hypotheses, analyses, and deliverables.
  • Lead workstreams and manage analysts and consultants to produce high-quality, client-ready outputs.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, including working sessions, feedback, and next steps.
  • Apply life sciences commercial knowledge to connect asset, customer, access, functional, and enterprise implications.
  • Use structured problem solving and storytelling to communicate recommendations clearly and persuasively.
  • Define value unlock opportunities by identifying where commercial strategy can drive growth, efficiency, differentiation, or better customer or patient outcomes; shape the value story, key performance indicators, and implications for leadership decisions.
  • Support artificial intelligence and data-enabled strategy and reinvention work by shaping use cases, workflow fit, required inputs, risks, governance, and human-in-the-loop considerations.
  • Support proactive commercial strategy and reinvention opportunities and proposals by shaping the client problem, workplan, solution approach, and value story.
  • Contribute to thought capital by developing reusable perspectives, frameworks, case examples, and market-facing points of view on priority commercial topics.
  • Lead high-priority commercial strategy and reinvention work for senior life sciences leaders.
  • Build breadth across asset, function, and enterprise commercial strategy topics.
  • Develop expertise in artificial intelligence and data-enabled commercial strategy and future ways of working.
  • Partner across Accenture teams to bring together strategy, technology, analytics, operations, and industry expertise.
  • Coach analysts and consultants into future life sciences strategy practitioners.

  • A proactive mindset around innovative ways of working, including how artificial intelligence, automation, copilots, and agentic workflows can improve productivity, quality, collaboration, and speed of execution.
  • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and data concepts, including predictive analytics, generative artificial intelligence, copilots, workflow automation, and agentic solutions.
  • Practical understanding of how artificial intelligence and data can be applied responsibly in commercial workflows, including where it creates value, what risks or dependencies must be managed, and how to support adoption with appropriate human oversight.
  • Comfort partnering with technology, analytics, artificial intelligence, and platform teams while staying anchored in the business problem.

Accenture shares down 27%, but 11.5% yield available through put options at 35% discount

Accenture trades 37% below its 52-week high after falling 27% over the past year. In fiscal Q3 2026, new bookings declined and some managed services deals slipped into fiscal 2027. The company generated $73.1 billion in revenue over the past twelve months, with operating margins widening to 17% in Q3. Managed services revenue grew 5% in local currency. In the first nine months of fiscal 2026, clients made 104 quarterly bookings exceeding $100 million, up 13% year-on-year. Consulting revenue grew just 1% in local currency in Q3. Management attributes the slowdown to the Middle East conflict affecting regional and discretionary spending. The CEO acknowledged that client budgets have not been growing, with spending simply being redirected rather than increased.

Accenture appoints Emma Chalwin as chief marketing officer

Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 October 2026. She will oversee global marketing and communications, reporting to Chair and CEO Julie Sweet. Chalwin joins from Workday, where she served as CMO. She previously held senior marketing roles at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee, and Macrovision, bringing over 30 years of global marketing leadership experience. Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue.
