Requirements
  • A university degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a similar field, with further training in computer-aided design.
  • At least five years of experience in an engineering firm, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other design-production platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of contractual delivery methods for design and construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand project deliverables, including plans and specifications.
  • Good knowledge of VDC productivity tools, including Revit add-ins, Dynamo, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with three-dimensional collaboration processes and tools, including Autodesk Forma, Assemble, clash tracking, laser scanning, iConstruct, model-based point layout, and augmented or virtual reality.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard VDC documentation, including BEP and BIMForum.
  • Good understanding of building design and construction sequencing.
  • Very good German and English skills at C1 level.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving ability, initiative, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Support the development of strategies for the BIM execution plan and lead interaction with the customer in close cooperation with the regional VDC manager.
  • Support the project team in converting supplier equipment into Revit.
  • Implement CRB VDC execution standards across projects and train or support team members in using VDC tools as needed.
  • Create, manage, and maintain project design models and associated drawings according to discipline-leader instructions.
  • Assess VDC modeling competency within the project team and motivate and support the team.
  • Support interdisciplinary VDC meetings throughout the project duration.
  • Lead collision detection and resolution within the team during preconstruction and construction.
  • Deliver team training on model development, construction documentation, and production techniques.
  • Develop schematic and detailed models, including architectural interior and exterior elements and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Prepare, review, print, and transmit drawings for package releases and manage project websites.
  • Coordinate VDC standards with customers, communicate standard requirements to the project team, and incorporate and manage standards-related changes in design software.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with VDC standards for all drawing-related deliverables.
  • Determine appropriate drawing scales for each discipline and establish building layouts and, where needed, assign lines for floor plans.
  • Establish and coordinate the location and orientation of floor plans for all disciplines.
  • Collaborate with CRB VDC leadership to develop and implement project-level coordination processes with external consultants.
