About the job
- Fluent spoken and written Arabic is required.
- Availability to join immediately, within a maximum of one week, is required.
- Prior hands-on experience with a federal or government entity or client in the UAE, such as banks, government departments, or regulated bodies, is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Engineering is required.
- Zero to two years of experience in a similar Data Centre or IT Support role is required.
- Experience with rack-mountable servers, blade servers, or converged systems is required.
- Knowledge of storage area networks, network-attached storage, backup, and archiving is required.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and AIX operating systems is required.
- Knowledge of biometric access and CCTV compliance is required.
- Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenShift virtualization is required.
- Understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure architecture is required.
- Good written and verbal communication in English is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours is required.
- Support the installation, configuration, and monitoring of IT applications, systems, and databases in a federal or government banking environment.
- Perform daily system monitoring by verifying hardware, server resources, systems, key process integrity, uptime, and completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and disaster recovery replication.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring file systems and data are backed up correctly, recovery media is created, and media is recycled.
- Provide Level 1 support across teams and entities by investigating and troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor performance and capacity of IT systems, applications, and datacenter components.
- Conduct core banking end-of-day activities and execute relevant reports.
- Respond to IT, datacenter, and database alerts and hardware malfunctions.
- Track, document, and compile incident reports.
