Position Summary:
The Purification Development Co-op will primarily be focused on developing manufacturing processes for recombinant protein and viral vector products. The responsibilities of the Co-op will include conducting experiments using small scale, and high-throughput chromatography systems; and filtration units to develop, characterize, and optimize new processes. The Co-op will additionally gain experience with common analytical workflows such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blots, plate-based biochemical assays and analytical HPLC.
The position will require interaction with multiple co-workers and functioning in a team environment, and the candidate should be able to organize and communicate ideas and results in a clear and concise manner.
This co-op session will run January 10 – June 26, 2023.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Cambridge, MA
- Knowledge of AKTA chromatography systems
- Familiarity with software for data analysis (Excel, JMP, Graphpad)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference given to grad students, and those with previous co-op experience
