About the job
- At least two years of maintenance experience in multifamily property management is strongly preferred.
- EPA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Fair Housing, and pool certifications are required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across communication channels are required.
- Ability to lift equipment and appliances weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
- Ability to take calls for emergency requests is required.
- A valid driver's license and daily transportation for obtaining supplies and performing other duties are required.
- Ability to drive a golf cart is required.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week as business needs require is required.
- Maintain a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Anticipate, identify, and correct problems involving the property and implement procedures to prevent them.
- Perform all maintenance tasks for units and equipment.
- Oversee the entire Maintenance Team.
- Manage work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Confirm that apartments are updated and move-in ready.
- Perform mechanical walks for construction.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Schedule vendors and contractors and work alongside construction staff to address issues.
- Apply knowledge of applicable laws and Environmental Protection Agency and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations governing the storage and management of hazardous materials.
- Inspect physical properties throughout the community and correct unsafe conditions.
- Two or more years of maintenance experience in multifamily property management.
