About the job
- Be enrolled in Bac+5 training at an engineering school or university, specializing in data engineering, data science, or software.
- Be comfortable with SQL and Python and interested in the modern data ecosystem, including dbt, data warehouses, and orchestration.
- Be comfortable formalizing and structuring work as well as prototyping.
- Have an interest in exchanging with end users.
- Be autonomous, curious, comfortable presenting ideas, and proactive.
- Identify priority use cases with targeted internal users, such as business developers and staffing leads, and build a verified question-and-answer reference set for measuring performance.
- Deploy the NAO agent on the OCTOPOD data sandbox and iterate on context curation, including metadata, documentation, definitions, process documents, and Confluence pages, using measurements to improve its answers.
- Document the experience of context curation and turn it into an OCTO blog article.
- Investigate production deployment options for the agent if the experiment succeeds and a business need is demonstrated.
- Take ownership of NAO and the OCTOPOD sandbox, study the state of the art in OpenAI and Anthropic feedback and context engineering, and begin discussions with targeted end users.
- Determine target questions with users, build a verified question-and-answer reference set, and define the answer-accuracy measurement protocol.
- Run the agent, identify errors, enrich the context and harness iteratively, and measure the performance improvement at each iteration.
- Formalize the experience, including what had to be made explicit, why, and with what impact, and prepare a demonstrator.
- Present the work to the Analytics & Agentic Platforms community, write an OCTO blog article, and present the results at a meetup or BBL.
- A first exploration of large language models or agents through personal projects, coursework, or an internship.

Since then, IBM has acquired several companies, mostly for its consulting business, like government -focused digital transformation services company Octo, acquired from private-equity firm Arlington Capital Partners in late 2022.
In recent news, KuCoin collaborated significantly with Octo, a play-to-earn Web3 platform.
The contract, which is the Air Force’s largest facility operations and management award, has a performance period of seven years and was awarded IBM (NYSE: IBM) has agreed to buy government technology services provider Octo from Arlington Capital Partners in a move to complement Big Blue’s IT and digital transformation offerings for the federal sector.
Octo has completed integration of capabilities, brand, technology, and operations after acquisition of Herndon-based technology provider B3 Group.
