- Install fireplaces and components in residential and commercial settings
- Address installation issues to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer’s specifications (including, but not limited to, ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure) before leaving the job site
- Use diagnostic tools such as manometer and multi-meter to obtain readings on gas pressure and voltages
- Initiate gas startups and perform homeowner orientations to ensure proper operation
- Maintain full knowledge of the after-market product line and utilize consultative sales techniques to sell service products and accessories
- Read manuals and conduct hands-on study of products to maintain up-to-date knowledge
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide needed information with professionalism
- Collaborate with sales staff and the service department to ensure installations meet quality standards
- Perform installation preview and post-view processes as needed
- Attend and successfully complete all company-provided training
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager
