Requirements
One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in the assigned area, such as CT, MRI, Emergency, Portable, or Surgery.
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist certification issued by the California Department of Public Health.
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
Current Venipuncture Certification issued by the California Society of Radiologic Technologists.
Current Basic Life Support Provider certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, radiographic equipment, radiology equipment safety hazards, body mechanics, isolation procedures, and body fluid precautions.
Ability to take on-call assignments for patients requiring emergency procedures.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
Produce radiographs and scans for medical diagnosis under limited supervision and as assigned by the Area Coordinator.
Position patients and adjust equipment for proper exposure and film development.
Record pertinent information related to the production of radiographs and scans.
Assist in supervising radiology students.
Maintain the assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Use computers.

Under limited supervision and as assigned by Area Coordinator to produce radiographs/scans for medical diagnosis. Involves positioning patients and adjusting equipment for proper exposure and for film development. Records pertinent information pertaining to the production of the radiograph/scan. Assists in the supervision of Radiology students. Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition. Use of the computer. This position requires the ability to take on-call for patients requiring emergency procedures. This position requires flexibility of hours.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in the area to be assigned (i.e. CT, MRI, Emergency/Portable/Surgery).
