A Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related major is required.

Responsibilities
Fulfill duties assigned by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and the United States Department of Justice, including compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act, Texas Family Code, Bell County policies, and juvenile services procedures.
Advise the Area Manager of critical situations.
Perform case management for youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
Conduct intake interviews with youth and families to gather and assess information, determine the nature of offenses, and determine probable cause.
Make day-to-day case-management decisions and recommendations to the Court based on youths' risk and need levels using validated screening instruments.
Prepare individualized case plans, make community-resource referrals, and maintain contact with outside agencies regarding referrals.
Visit youth at home, school, work, residential treatment facilities, or detention as required by the supervision level or immediate need.
Maintain current and accurate case records for assigned youth.
Work directly with the Court, County Attorney's Office, defense attorneys, and service providers.
Prepare court reports and documents and testify when required.
Transport youth to treatment facilities or other care as required or directed.
Monitor and enforce compliance with court orders, deferred prosecution rules, conditions of release, diversion programs, and temporary pre-court monitoring; assign sanctions for violations according to department policy.
Maintain contact with youth to ensure restitution is paid and keep personnel requiring restitution information informed.
Participate in the Juvenile Probation Officer on-call roster.
Participate in the Juvenile Supervision Officer on-call roster, providing direct care and supervision or security for juveniles in pre-adjudication detention or post-adjudication residential facilities.
Work weekends, holidays, evenings, or nights as required by the shift schedule.
Address residents' behavioral issues and concerns to ensure compliance, including assisting staff during situations requiring Handle with Care and the approved behavior-management program.
