About the role
- Negotiate, plan, schedule, coordinate and implement releases by managing risks and coordinating Release Runbook review, resolve issues related to release plans and implementation.
- Work with the Development and delivery teams, production support and other stakeholders to coordinate and execute Release deployment Activities.
- Manage activities for building and maintaining software releases.
Your responsibilities
- Improve Release communication and transparency by acting as a single Point-of-Contact (POC) for release stakeholders across the business and technology teams.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams in the organization to ensure execution of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC/ Scrum/Kanban) has been followed before allowing releases into production.
- Work with developers / DevOps team to define operational quality standards, for application releases, software vulnerability patches, environment version upgrades, quarterly volume testing and other activities that contribute to production environment availability.
- Performs initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production.
- Oversee timely communication of upcoming releases and requirements with stakeholders.
- Develop and design standards and procedures; ensures that they are adhered to throughout the software development life cycle.
About you
- Experience with project and scope tracking tools, especially Atlassian JIRA.
- 4+ years Project Management Skills.
- 4+ years Change and Release Management experience.
- 4+ years experience with software development and testing life-cycle / Agile methodology.
- Strong interpersonal skills , written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence across organizational boundaries.
- 5+ years of people management experience and experience managing leaders.
- 8+ years experience with Quality experience.

Fully paid parental leave
Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL.
For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

The expected base salary range for Technical roles (e.g. Engineering, Product, Design) at this level within Point is $169,600 to $318,000 per year. This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above.At the launch of each position we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
