Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the firm by acting as an internal and external advisor and elevating technical capabilities through mentoring staff.
  • Provide firmwide direction, internal consultation, and specialized client services in a discipline integral to the firm.
  • Maintain the company profile by participating in key projects.
  • Maintain a reputation as a technical expert outside the firm by writing papers, giving technical presentations, and representing the firm in professional and technical societies.
  • Collaborate internally to develop and implement strategies and best practices aligned with discipline trends and standards.
  • Provide direction in assembling technical resources for key projects and use resources effectively.
  • Promote efficiency in producing quality work and ensure quality control standards are maintained.
  • Research and analyze discipline-related data, trends, and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations internally and externally.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of industry-related initiatives within the discipline and recommend improvements or modifications as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners to stay informed of developments and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Represent the firm on governing bodies of professional organizations when needed to elevate the profession and the firm's brand.
  • Serve as a discipline quality leader to support efforts to implement, educate, and continuously improve Olsson's Quality Management Program.
  • Travel, work with the sales team to market firm services, and serve as a contact for key clients when needed.
