Requirements
  • 5-10 years of relevant technical area experience or more
  • 3 years Joint, OSD, CCMD and/or a Military Department staff is desired
  • 3 years experience working with Allied and partner nation engagements
  • Minimum of an earned Bachelor’s degree with a major relevant to the duties of the position
  • 5+ years of related experience in Software and/or Data as a Service sales
  • Experience selling to Federal customers
  • Ability to forecast accurately and manage a pipeline of opportunities
  • Ability to source, sell, co-sell, and close large deals
  • Ability to do deep discovery and build relationships
  • Live in the United States and are a U.S. citizen eligible for a U.S. DoD security clearance
  • Experience with CRM, outreach tools and forecasting solutions preferred
Responsibilities
  • Manage Planet’s relationship with the Navy Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWCPAC)
  • Maintain coordination with subcontractors within the SeaVision contract
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities to expand the geographic scope of the SeaVision contract
  • Target further opportunities for Maritime domain awareness (MDA) with the U.S. Government
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close large-scale complex deals and drive sales revenue targets
  • Develop an extensive pipeline of new sales leads
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers for prospect meetings and presentations
  • Maintain weekly pipeline reporting and accurately forecast quarterly and annual business
