Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related focus.
  • At least 4 years of work-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
Responsibilities
  • Build and execute marketing strategy for the College of Education, establish marketing goals, develop systems to track effectiveness, and make recommendations to increase effectiveness.
  • Manage the College's digital, print, and multimedia creative content, including internal and external websites, emails, newsletters, signage, viewbooks, and magazines.
  • Manage College-level social media accounts, generate compelling content, and post in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with College-level stakeholders to achieve marketing goals related to awareness, enrollment, retention, and scholarships.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of internal communications.
  • Support the College's reputation among campus, statewide, and national audiences through press releases, faculty and student highlights and achievements, and awareness marketing.
  • Develop and communicate informational programs to enhance and maintain favorable perceptions of an organization's accomplishments or agenda.
  • Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences.
  • Create informational content that supports the University brand for print, web, and social media formats.
  • Increase the visibility of the organization across media areas.
  • Study organizational objectives, promotional policies, and organizational needs to develop public relations strategies that influence public opinion or promote ideas and services.
  • Establish or maintain cooperative relationships with student groups and representatives of governmental, community, employee, public interest, news, and other media groups.
  • Identify trends and key group interests or concerns and provide advice on staying current with techniques and approaches.
  • Provide a website strategy and regularly plan content updates for the external College website while driving internal communication.
  • Provide direction and assistance on appropriate ways to present information and engage the audience.
  • Write press releases and coordinate photo opportunities.
  • Coordinate special events to promote relations with students, alumni, retirees, and VIPs.
  • Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits to increase product or service awareness or promote goodwill.
  • Work with appropriate external resources to ensure efficient functionality of resources.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in training and other professional development activities.
  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education marketing, including developing and executing marketing and communication strategies within a college or university setting, understanding academic audiences and enrollment goals, and applying institutional branding.
  • Experience managing websites, social media platforms, email marketing systems, and content management systems, with the ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns for engagement and effectiveness.
  • Ability to create compelling written and multimedia content, including press releases, feature stories, and videos, and build relationships with media outlets and stakeholders to enhance organizational visibility and reputation.
