Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.
Have 8 to 12 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation, including past project management experience.
Be proficient with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Balance and prioritize multiple projects and identify and resolve project risks and design challenges.
Responsibilities
Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, focusing on multi-modal roadway projects.
Serve as liaison between the client and project team, including external stakeholder agencies.
Manage all technical resources on the project team, including subconsultants.
Prepare task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets.
Develop project management plans for assigned projects and prepare monthly progress reports.
Develop and maintain project schedules.
Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables.
Mentor and train junior staff.
Assist with production tasks, including CADD drawings, reports, and graphics or renderings.
Assist the Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.
Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.

AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8-12 years’ experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office. The position is full-time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.
