Responsibilities
  • Provide direct leadership to functional teams, overseeing recruiting, performance management, team culture, and engagement
  • Maintain a deep technical expertise within the team’s domain to validate assumptions, guide decision-making, and ensure robust technology solutions that balance business and technical constraints
  • Accountable for the team’s execution methodology, with authority to adapt and optimize processes while adhering to project controls and governance frameworks
  • Ensure timely delivery of the team's project commitments, balancing business objectives with technological advancements
  • Uphold Benevity’s governance, controls, and standards across all team activities.
  • Provide transparent visibility into team performance through regular reporting and performance metrics (weekly, monthly)
  • Align team initiatives with Benevity’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), clarifying the strategic linkages between projects and organizational goals
  • Understand and integrate current, implicit, and future business contexts into resource allocation, skill development, and cost management decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security Operations, and other internal stakeholders to prioritize and schedule activities that align with strategic objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring their teams commit time to engineering-led innovation, ensuring early projects receive feedback, and fostering continuation or closure during PI cycles
  • Ensure teams are appropriately resourced and escalate any resource issues to senior leadership
