The Team

The Engineering team at Tomorrow Health builds the technology that connects and scales the home health ecosystem in order to transform the home into the preferred place of care for positive patient outcomes. Our products serve a diverse set of users – doctors, insurance companies, medical equipment suppliers – and ultimately enable us to deliver a higher quality patient experience. 

The Role

Tomorrow Health is hiring a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend experience and hands-on work with Large Language Models (LLMs). You’ll lead technical decisions across the stack, with a focus on integrating LLMs into real product flows that affect patient care, operations, and internal decision-making. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll work closely with Product, Data, and Clinical teams to evaluate models, design AI-powered features, and ship production-grade systems that support our AI-first strategy.

What You'll Do

• Design and own architecture for AI‑powered features (scalable, safe, maintainable)
• Evaluate, compare, and integrate LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, open‑source)
• Build backend systems in Python / Django, plus APIs (REST / GraphQL)
• Work across stack as needed: React / TypeScript / Node.js
• Partner with product, clinical, operations teams to align AI with business outcomes
• Work with data engineers / ML teams: pipeline, feedback loops, monitoring
• Build internal tools / dashboards to monitor model performance & safety
• Mentor engineers; champion software quality and AI best practices

About You

• 8+ years building and scaling software; deep backend expertise (Python / Django)
• Hands‑on experience deploying LLMs or similar foundation models in production
• Strong knowledge of LLM constraints: tokens, latency, prompt design, fine‑tuning, guardrails
• Experience in system design, APIs, relational databases (Postgres)
• Comfortable with AWS or similar cloud infra
• Familiarity with frontend stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js
• Strong cross‑team communication; able to simplify AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for mentoring, engineering standards & excellence
• Experience in fast / ambiguous environments; willing to own projects end to end
